Desiree Morris

Desiree joined the Camp Southern Ground team in December 2011. In her multifaceted role, she oversees payroll and HR processes, donor gift acknowledgment and recognition, internal and external communications, office management, volunteer coordination, and support for both camp and fundraising events.

With a background in business and creative writing, Desiree has built a strong foundation in corporate communications, honed during her 20+ year career at Delta Air Lines. There, she played a pivotal role in implementing corporate policies and leading strategic communications efforts that drove customer loyalty and engagement.

Desiree holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Georgia State University. She is known for her exceptional customer service, commitment to excellence, and deep dedication to community service.

Passionate about the mission of Camp Southern Ground, Desiree finds great fulfillment in supporting its programs and the individuals they impact. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, watching sports, working out, and spending quality time with her husband, two adult children, and loved ones.
