Camp Southern Ground Unveils Warrior Fitness Trailer Through MLB All-Star Legacy Partnership
July 15, 2025
Camp Southern Ground proudly unveiled its brand-new Warrior Fitness Trailer last week, a custom-built, mobile training unit made possible through the 2025 MLB All-Star Legacy Initiative in partnership with Major League Baseball and the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
This innovative trailer will enhance Camp Southern Ground’s veteran programs, including Warrior PATHH and Warrior Week, and Warrior Family Camp, by offering additional on-campus fitness and recovery options tailored to support veteran physical and mental well-being.
The official launch event took place the morning of July 11 at The Battery Atlanta, where Camp Southern Ground joined MLB leadership, veterans, and Braves front office staff – many of whom are veterans themselves – for a commissioning ceremony that included a traditional challenge coin exchange and the trailer’s first-ever workout.

“It’s All-Star week, and we’re here for ALL of it,” said Camp Southern Ground CEO Mike Dobbs. “This trailer represents strength, resilience, and connection, values we see every day in our warrior community, and we are deeply grateful to MLB and the Braves Foundation for investing in those who’ve served.”
The Warrior Fitness Trailer is part of a broader $4 million MLB All-Star Legacy investment in the Atlanta region. This initiative aims to uplift underserved communities, support veterans, and increase access to baseball and softball for youth.
Founded by musician and veteran advocate Zac Brown, Camp Southern Ground is dedicated to serving children with diverse abilities and backgrounds, as well as veterans and families navigating life after military service. Learn more »
