Camp Southern Ground NEWS

Standing Together to End Veteran Suicide

Sept 10, 2025

At Camp Southern Ground, suicide prevention is central to our mission to serve veterans and their families. We are proud to partner with We Face The Fight, a powerful national coalition led by USAA and supported by Reach Resilience and the Humana Foundation. With more than 250 partner organizations nationwide, Face The Fight is driving meaningful action to break the stigma around mental health, raise awareness of veteran suicide, and invest in solutions that save lives.

Since its launch, Face The Fight has:

  • Reached over 355,000 lives
  • Trained more than 30,000 people in suicide prevention
  • Projected to save 6,500+ lives by 2032
This month, we encourage you to:

  • Check in on the veterans in your life
  • Share encouragement and hope using #FaceTheFight and #SuicidePreventionMonth
  • Take advantage of free suicide prevention training at strongstartraining.org/face-the-fight »

We’re also proud to support the Governor’s Institute/MilVet Academy Mental Health First Aid Workshops, offering free in-person and virtual sessions to help communities better respond to mental health crises. Learn more at milvetacademy.org/mhfa »

Together, we can build a culture where asking for help is a sign of strength – and no veteran has to face the fight alone.
