Camp Southern Ground Honored to Partner on All-Star Legacy Project
Warrior Fitness Trailer to Support Veterans’ Wellness and Community at Camp
June 19, 2025
Camp Southern Ground is honored to be selected as a recipient of an All-Star Legacy Project through the Atlanta Braves Foundation. With just one month until the 2025 MLB All-Star Game at Truist Park, the Braves Foundation is preparing to unveil a series of Legacy Projects representing a combined investment of more than $4 million aimed at increasing access to baseball and softball for youth, supporting veterans, and uplifting underserved communities.
As part of this powerful initiative, Camp Southern Ground will receive a custom-built Warrior Fitness Trailer – an adaptive training unit designed exclusively for use on our campus. This trailer will enhance our on-site veteran programming by offering tailored fitness options that promote both physical and mental wellness, while fostering connection and support among the veteran community.
“We are proud to partner with the Braves Foundation on a project that so closely aligns with our mission,” said Camp Southern Ground CEO Mike Dobbs. “This Warrior Fitness Trailer will expand the tools and training we offer through our Warrior PATHH and Warrior Week programs – helping veterans build strength, resilience, and community as they transition into civilian life.”
All are invited to experience the Warrior Fitness Trailer firsthand at a special All-Star Legacy event unveiling the trailer on Friday, July 11 at Truist Park. Hosted by Major League Baseball and the Braves Foundation in partnership with Camp Southern Ground, this event will feature a 45 minute All-Star WOD (workout of the day), and the opportunity to connect with fellow veterans in celebration of strength, service, and community. Veterans are encouraged to sign up here to join the All-Star WOD followed by lunch hosted by the Braves. Seventy-five veterans can join the workout and each veteran plus a guest will enjoy lunch following.
Camp Southern Ground is grateful to the Braves Foundation and Major League Baseball for investing in those who have served. Together, we are building a lasting legacy of support and opportunity for our nation’s veterans.
