Camp Southern Ground Joins National Leaders at the 2024 Avalon Action Alliance Convening

Oct 28, 2024

Camp Southern Ground was honored to attend the 2024 Avalon Action Alliance Convening, joining a powerful coalition of national leaders dedicated to transforming care for veterans and first responders. As a proud member of the Avalon Action Alliance, Camp Southern Ground stands united with over 20 partner organizations to provide integrated, accessible, and life-changing support for those who have served our nation.

This year’s convening brought together leading traumatic brain injury (TBI) centers, substance use programs, and post-traumatic stress (PTS) initiatives from across the country. Together, these organizations are pioneering efforts to remove barriers to holistic care, offering essential resources that go beyond traditional approaches. From cutting-edge TBI assessments to Warrior PATHH’s innovative post-traumatic stress training and the compassionate substance abuse support provided by Warrior’s Heart, the Avalon Action Alliance is dedicated to strengthening the mind, body, and spirit of veterans and first responders.

“By building connections and sharing resources, we’re creating a support system where no one has to face trauma alone,” said Camp Southern Ground President & CEO Mike Dobbs. “We’re proud to be part of this movement, working together to ensure everyone who needs care has access to it.”

Avalon Action Alliance, which connects veterans and first responders to transformative, holistic support, recognizes that healing extends beyond immediate care. Camp Southern Ground’s programs, like Warrior PATHH, play a critical role in this vision, empowering individuals through alternative PTS training that encourages resilience and growth.

The 2024 convening reaffirms Avalon Action Alliance’s mission: to forge pathways to recovery and post-traumatic growth, ensuring veterans and first responders can find healing and hope. Camp Southern Ground is grateful to stand beside fellow Alliance members in advancing this mission and building a future of care that is compassionate, comprehensive, and enduring.
