Celebrating 15 Years of Impact on Founders Day

Jun 22, 2026

Founders Day of Giving & Sharing

On June 22, 2011, a vision from Zac Brown became a reality when Camp Southern Ground officially opened its gates. Fifteen years later, that vision has grown into a thriving community where children, veterans, and military families find belonging and opportunity.

On Founders Day, we pause to celebrate how far we’ve come and the thousands of lives that have been impacted by a dream rooted in the transformative power of summer camp and a commitment to serving those who have served and sacrificed for our country. Today, Camp Southern Ground welcomes children from diverse backgrounds and abilities through our inclusive summer camp program and supports veterans and military families through life-changing programs designed to foster wellbeing.

As we celebrate 15 years of impact, we’re inviting our community to join us for a special Day of Giving and Day of Sharing.
