Warrior Family Camp
Honoring Service. Strengthening Families. Building Connection That Lasts.
2026 Fall Dates: Sept. 4-6 | Sept. 25-27 | Oct. 30-Nov. 1 | Nov. 20-22
Camp Southern Ground and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation share a common belief: behind every warrior is a family whose service, sacrifice, resilience, and strength deserve recognition and support. Through Warrior Family Camp, we create intentional opportunities for Special Operations families to reconnect, reflect, play, and grow together in a safe and welcoming community.
WHY WARRIOR FAMILY CAMP?
Military-connected families possess remarkable strengths: resilience, adaptability, loyalty, service, and commitment. Warrior Family Camp is designed to honor those strengths while creating space for families to strengthen relationships, build memories, and experience the joy of simply being together.
OUR SHARED COMMITMENT
The Special Operations Warrior Foundation has spent more than four decades standing beside Special Operations families through educational support, family outreach, and ongoing care for surviving children and families. Their mission reflects an enduring promise that these families will never walk alone.
Camp Southern Ground extends that promise through immersive family experiences designed to strengthen family connection and well-being.
WHAT FAMILIES EXPERIENCE
Adventure. Outdoor recreation, family challenges, youth activities, campfires, and shared experiences that create lasting memories.
Reflection. Meaningful conversations, gratitude practices, and opportunities to recognize family strengths.
Growth. Tools and experiences that help families communicate, problem-solve, and navigate challenges together.
Joy. Time to laugh, play, and simply enjoy being together.
THE IMPACT
Families leave Warrior Family Camp with:
✓ Stronger awareness of family strengths
✓ More shared joy and gratitude
✓ Improved communication and cooperation
✓ Practical habits they can carry home and continue long after camp ends.
THE RESULT
Stronger Family Functioning. Greater Relational Resilience. Lasting Belonging.
When families have opportunities to belong, reflect, practice, integrate, and carry forward what they learn together, they build stronger relationships and greater capacity to navigate life’s challenges side-by-side.

Why Summer Camp at Camp Southern Ground?

It has been about six years since my husband passed away. Since then, one of the things I have tried very hard to do every summer is find camps, activities, and experiences that allow my children to have fun, make friends, and experience some of the things that can be difficult for me to provide on my own.
