Dr. William Wong

Dr. Wong’s main research involves studies of dietary supplementation to prevent chronic diseases, intervention of childhood obesity, and energy metabolism under healthy conditions and diseased states.
He designed and tested the effectiveness of community-based, summer camp-based, and school-based programs to prevent childhood obesity, particularly among minority children. He is also very interested in the safety, efficacy and optimal dosages of dietary supplements to prevent diseases such as osteoporosis, hypertension, and diabetes.
