Student Veterans of America (SVA) Join Forces with Camp Southern Ground for a Day of Learning and Service

During the Student Veterans of America’s Southeast Regional Summit in Atlanta, these attendees chose to give back to the community by partnering with Camp Southern Ground. This collaboration reflects SVA’s commitment to enhancing the success of veterans in higher education through service, resources, and advocacy.
The day started with a luncheon for 65 chapter leaders, where they were joined by our Warrior Program teams. The leaders learned about each program, participated in a Q&A session with our directors, and enjoyed a tour of our campus. In a spirit of service, the SVA team also pitched in to clean the PDH chairs and tables, which will soon welcome over 100 veterans this fall for meals prepared by our executive culinary team.
Community partnerships are vital in the veteran transition space, and we’re proud to work with SVA to focus on Career wellbeing. By collaborating, we aim to support veterans as they pursue higher education and transition into new careers, while also addressing their overall wellbeing—career, social, physical, financial, community, and emotional.
Ray Queen, SVA Outreach Specialist, shared their appreciation: “I wanted to reach out and express my gratitude. I am part of the SVA team, and you and your team are truly inspirational. Thank you so much! I plan to spread the good word about Camp Southern Ground as far as I possibly can.”
