Nourishing Bodies and Souls

Nov 21 | What Different Can Do

At Camp Southern Ground, we believe that food is more than just fuel—it’s an experience that nourishes both body and soul. That’s why every meal we serve is chef-prepared with real, nutritious ingredients, infused with love, and shared in an atmosphere that brings people together.

It all starts with our 11-acre organic farm, where we grow many of the fresh ingredients that go into our meals. Whether it’s veterans in our programs or kids attending summer camp, everyone who sits at our table enjoys meals that are gluten-free, allergen-free, and anti-inflammatory. These meals not only support wellness but also create an opportunity to connect with food and each other.

For our summer campers, the connection runs even deeper. They roll up their sleeves on the farm, harvest fresh produce, and take part in cooking classes where they prepare meals with the very ingredients they’ve gathered. It’s a hands-on way to understand where food comes from and how it affects their health—lessons that stay with them long after camp ends.

We carry this same passion for food into The Remedy Report, our bi-monthly newsletter created by our culinary team. It’s a space where we share recipes, tips, and insights to help you incorporate wholesome, nutritious meals into your life. More than that, it’s a way for us to stay connected with you, offering inspiration and joy for your table.

Food at Camp Southern Ground is more than just what’s on the plate. It’s about community, learning, and love. Through The Remedy Report, we hope to bring that spirit to your kitchen, helping you nourish your family while creating moments of connection.
