Veteran Recruitment Manager
Lee Rollins
Lee is a retired U.S. Army veteran who served with distinction for 21 years, including multiple combat deployments and key leadership positions that honed his skills in resilience, strategic thinking, and team dynamics. Most notably, he led a Mortar Section in the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan in 2008—one of the most intense theaters of the Global War on Terror—and later served as an Instructor at the U.S. Army Sniper School. His military career built a deep foundation in human performance, mission-focused leadership, and high-pressure decision-making, all of which continue to inform his work today.
After retiring from active duty, Lee transitioned his commitment to service into the civilian sector, championing veterans’ success through advocacy, mentorship, and career development. He served as Site Lead for the Department of Labor’s Transition Assistance Program (DoL TAP) at Fort Benning, GA, and as a Regional Employment Coordinator for Work for Warriors Georgia, where he empowered transitioning service members and their families to find meaningful careers.
Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Lee focuses his academic efforts on leadership development, organizational behavior, and psychological well-being in the workplace. He is passionate about post-traumatic growth, spiritual resilience, and helping others unlock their full potential.
Lee is also the author of the Battle-Tested book series, which offers a raw and practical perspective on veteran transition, identity, and leadership—rooted in lived experience. A proud alumnus of Warrior Week 2503, Lee has remained deeply connected to the mission, playing a pivotal role in recruiting and mentoring others. His leadership helped one fellow participant launch a fulfilling post-program career aligned with their passion.
At Camp Southern Ground, Lee brings a steady, mission-driven presence to the team. His experience strengthens our pipeline for transitioning service members and amplifies our impact. With a heart for service and a strategic mindset, Lee continues to bridge the values of military life with the opportunities of the civilian world—leading others to grow, serve, and live with purpose.
